As a permanent Village Manager within the Pilgangoora Operations, you’ll be supporting a reputable mining and minerals organisation in the Pilbara.
You’ll lead essential on-site services including village management, catering, cleaning and utilities, helping create a safe, welcoming home away from home for remote workers.
Located 140km south of Port Hedland, this role goes beyond operations. It’s about building care, consistency and community on site.

Key responsibilities
The Village Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Village/s, ensuring that all facilities are always operating and maintained to a high standard. Ad hoc support to the Village Team and other Sites is occasionally required.
Duties include:
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the mining village, ensuring that all facilities are maintained to a high standard
- Cultivate a positive, engaged and high performing work environment - Lead and manage a team of staff, across a variety of departments
- Manage security operations, including monitoring access to the village and maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents and visitors
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including health and safety, environmental, and quality standards
- Demonstrating innovation and collaboration with service delivery, leveraging the whole business to exceed client KPIs
- P&L responsibility ensuring cost leadership across the operation
- Liaise with other departments and stakeholders, including HR, procurement, and project managers, to ensure the smooth operation of the mining site
- Assist other site departments from time to time, if required
- Relief at other Villages within the Pilgangoora Operations, if required.
The incumbent is a key person to the Village Management Team and is involved in promoting positive staff morale and a safe work environment, ensuring quality systems, and supporting business and client focus within the PFM business and across the company.
About You

To join our team, you will be an experienced Village Manager, with a passion for building Teams, and providing first-class customer service to the Residents of the Village at all times. Additionally, a commitment to the safety of yourself and others, possessing strong knowledge of Hygiene and Food Safety Standards (HACCP)., Hospitality Guidelines and relevant Legislation.
You will possess:
- Australian Working Rights
- VALID Australian C Class Driver’s License
- Ability to pass comprehensive (Client) Pre-Employment Medical including Instant Drug and Alcohol Screening
- Current satisfactory National Police Check (within 6 months)
- Previous experience at a Village / Minesite
- Advanced experience with Client Mobilisation systems (INX, PeopleTray)
- Certificate III / IV Commercial Cookery OR Hospitality (desirable)
- The following experience / qualifications with First Aid, HRWL (LF), RSA / Approved Manager, and Cleaning (desirable)
Additionally, you will also possess the following skills:
- Advanced Systems and Technology experience i.e., MS Office, online/web-based Payroll & Training requirements
- Demonstrate a professional approach in the workplace, with excellent customer service skills
- Have a strong commitment to the safety of yourself and others
- Ability to manage a Team; providing hands on coaching and support where required
- Ability to prioritise and adapt to changing work tasks in a fast-paced environment
