Kick-Start your career in the oil and gas industry with the National Energy Technician Training Scheme (NETTS)
Are you looking for a unique pathway into an exciting and rewarding industry? Have you recently completed (or are approaching completion of) Year 12? If so, this program is designed specifically for you!
Programmed Training Services has collaborated with the state's major oil and gas companies to bring you the highly acclaimed NETTS Program. In the January 2020 Intake, Woodside, Shell Australia, Santos and Vermilion are seeking dedicated, focused and passionate apprentices for the below roles:
* Process Plant Technicians
* Mechanical Fitters
* Industrial Electrical/Instrumentation Technicians
Throughout the 4 year apprenticeship you will train both on-the-job and in the classroom, gaining technical knowledge of hydrocarbon processing, developing trade skills and learning how to operate process facilities in the safest, most efficient way. You will receive ongoing support and mentoring with strong industry involvement and guidance for the duration of the program. On completion, you will receive a nationally accredited trade certificate.
In addition to the above, NETTS will also offer you the opportunity to:
* Earn an attractive salary while you learn
* In your 1st and 2nd year, study at the state-of-the-art ACEPT TAFE facility in Perth and gain work experience across the Perth metro area
* In your 3rd and 4th year, work Fly in Fly out (FIFO) rosters on host company facilities
* Work on some of the most technologically advanced, clean and innovative resource projects in the world
To be successful for a position in the program, you must have:
* Completed Year 12 (by course commencement in February 2020) with a capacity to apply your English, Maths and Science knowledge to your studies/work
* A strong desire to work in the oil and gas industry with a willingness to learn new concepts
* The ability to work as part of a team
* The ability to work a FIFO roster in remote locations, working 12 hour shifts
* The ability to pass regular drug and alcohol screening tests
* Australian Citizenship/Permanent Residency, and the ability to live/relocate to Perth for the duration of the apprenticeship
