What you’ll contribute to:

An exciting opportunity has become available for amotivated and detail-oriented Aerodrome Reporting Officer (ARO) to join the Gold Coast Airport Aviation team in a permanent full-time capacity.

The Aerodrome Reporting Officer ensures safe, secure and efficient airside operations are maintained to a high standard, supporting all stakeholders and airline partners by maintaining aerodrome serviceability through the availability of airfield infrastructure and the management of impediments to aircraft operations such as wildlife and other hazards.

How will you make an impact?

To be successful in this position, you need to have experience in aviation and emergency operations, respond well to working under pressure, and have the capability to respond to and manage difficult situations.

You must also have good written and verbal communication skills and understand the importance of aerodrome regulations.

Possession of a Firearms License is advantageous, however is not required for an application.

Key deliverables/responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure the safe and secure operation of the airside environment in accordance with relevant regulations and company SOPs.
  • Audit, enforce and report on safety and security issues at the airport in accordance with Aviation Transport Security Regulations 2005.
  • Implement the requirements of the Bird and Wildlife Management Plan.
  • Record all aerodrome serviceability reports accurately and timely and raise any relevant issues immediately with the aviation management team.
