What you’ll contribute to:
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Financial Controller to join the QAL Finance team. The role is a permanent position, reporting through to the GM Finance.

The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and maintenance of the accounting, payroll and transactional functions for all Queensland Airports Limited group of companies.

We are looking for a dynamic leader, who loves to develop others and can embed into the role and the wider team a passion for continuous improvement of process and governance.

An influencer of others, you will be CA or CPA qualified, have previous proven experience in a similar role.

As a strong leader you will possess:

• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills

• Proven success as a leader of others

• In-depth understanding of financial concepts

• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines whilst maintaining composure

• Strong customer service focus of self and team that you lead

Key deliverables/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Ownership of the QAL group of companies ensuring timely and accurate reporting in accordance with all relevant standards

• Provide financial risk mitigation strategies and identify opportunities for improved financial performance

• Manage all compliance and statutory activities for the Finance function

• Collaborate, communicate and effectively influence QAL leaders to ensure optimal outcomes and delivery of the Finance requirements and overarching QAL strategies

• Demonstrate quality leadership practises that promote teamwork, encourage communication and delivers continuous improvement
