Queensland Airports Limited (QAL) is an accomplished airport operator which owns and operates Gold Coast, Townsville, Longreach and Mount Isa airports – connecting the Gold Coast and northern NSW, along with regional Queensland, to the rest of the country and beyond. Our company has a vision to engage customers, connect communities and deliver exceptional experiences – and a commitment to delivering for the communities where we operate. We have been formally recognised as a ‘Great Place to Work – Certified’ organisation four times and recently was awarded Work180 accreditation as a champion for gender equity for the second year in a row. Our company is dedicated to a target of net zero Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 2030.

What you’ll contribute to:

You will champion Queensland Airports Limited’s aviation and commercial strategy across Asia, nurturing opportunities into tangible outcomes. Through your collaborative approach and commitment to building strong relationships, you will help foster the growth and sustainability of international passenger and freight services, enhancing the competitiveness and overall performance of QAL airports.

Antonie has been a part of the Queensland Airports family for 2+ years, he shares his thoughts below:

“Working at Queensland Airports Limited means kicking goals together by bringing increased capacity to a rapidly growing economy. It’s a dream to work in a company that believes and invests in me, in such a location like the Gold Coast where I can also fully enjoy an amazing lifestyle as well as a challenging and self-fulfilling job.”

How will you make an impact?

By building trusted, senior‑level relationships with airline decision‑makers across Asia, you will influence network planning and capacity deployment decisions that deliver new routes, increased frequencies, larger gauge aircraft and improved schedules. Through compelling, data‑driven business cases and proactive market engagement, you will position Queensland Airports Limited as preferred partners within airline networks while aligning airline growth with destination demand and long‑term market sustainability.

Language Fluency:
Proven fluency in relevant Asian languages is essential for this role and will be assessed throughout the selection process.

Market Experience:
Demonstrated experience working across Asian aviation and airline markets, with a track record of developing data‑driven business cases that support sustainable network growth and airline partnerships.

Key deliverables/responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Developing and presenting high‑impact, data‑driven business cases to airline network, strategy and commercial teams
  • Securing sustainable passenger and freight capacity growth, including new routes, increased frequencies and enhanced aircraft deployment
  • Establishing and maintaining senior relationships with airline stakeholders across network planning, revenue management, scheduling, sales, marketing, loyalty and cargo
  • Acting as QAL’s primary commercial interface for Asian airline partners, ensuring consistent engagement, performance review and opportunity identification
  • Building strong partnerships with tourism organisations, trade and distribution partners, and government and regulatory stakeholders
  • Monitoring airline performance, fleet developments and competitor airport activity to inform proactive engagement strategies
