Your opportunity:
Our Digital Applications Readiness team are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Senior Test Analyst to join their team.
The Digital & Information Group is responsible for digitally enabling Urban Utilities today while transforming our future capabilities to enhance digital services for our customers, community, and people. We drive Urban Utilities’ digital & data strategy, oversee the digital portfolio, and manage IT, OT, data, IoT, cyber security, infrastructure, system administration, network operations, and support services. These roles offer an exciting opportunity to contribute to a forward-thinking organisation that is driving digital transformation and enhancing service delivery for our customers, community, and people.
As a Senior Test Analyst, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our digital solutions. Your responsibilities will include:
Creating and managing high-quality defect reports using tools such as Jira or ALM
Reviewing acceptance criteria and developing traceability to test cases
Executing test plans and contributing to regular progress reporting
Writing clear, reusable, and efficient test cases
Building strong working relationships with stakeholders and team members
Supporting and collaborating with business teams during User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Leading and executing integration testing (API, SFTP, etc.)
Supporting the growth and implementation of Automation Testing practices
About you:
Education: A relevant Bachelor's degree (e.g., IT, Computer Science, Data Analytics)
Experience: Proven track record in software testing, data analysis, and issue resolution; experience in agile environments is highly regarded
Technical Proficiency: Skills in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, database queries, and API testing (SOAP UI, Postman, REST APIs); familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Salesforce, and web applications
Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving abilities with a continuous improvement mindset
Collaboration: Experience working in cross-functional teams and a collaborative, inclusive approach
Customer Focus: A strategic thinker with a strong customer-centric mindset
Personal Attributes: Integrity, authenticity, adaptability, and respect for diverse perspectives
Decision-Making: Confident in planning, prioritising, and making decisions to drive effective outcomes
Security Clearance: Some roles may require compliance with security clearance or SOCI regulations
Performance of ‘on call’ duties are an inherent requirement of this role. This requires that the employee must be available to be on-call and to attend to work matters, both in person and remotely, outside of normal working hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays, as reasonably required to fulfill the requirements of the position. The days, times, duration and frequency of on call arrangements may be subject to change, including at short notice, as required by Urban Utilities’ operational needs as applying from time to time. At all times whilst on-call, you must be fit for duty, contactable, and able to respond, including the ability to physically attend if required, to the operational needs of the business within a reasonable timeframe and in a safe manner.
