Your opportunity:
Our Digital Infrastructure Readiness team is seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Technical Business Analyst to join their team.
The Digital & Information Group is responsible for digitally enabling Urban Utilities today while transforming our future capabilities to enhance digital services for our customers, community, and people. We drive Urban Utilities’ digital & data strategy, oversee the digital portfolio, and manage IT, OT, data, IoT, cyber security, infrastructure, system administration, network operations, and support services. These roles offer an exciting opportunity to contribute to a forward-thinking organisation that is driving digital transformation and enhancing service delivery for our customers, community, and people.
As a Technical Business Analyst within our Digital Infrastructure Readiness team, you will work closely with a dynamic team of professionals to support the development and deployment of strategic decision outcomes that in turn enhances operational efficiency and drives performance improvements. You will play a key role in analysing the requirements for changes and new functionality within the UU ICT operating environment. Tasks and accountabilities will be linked to complex strategies related to application performance, infrastructure readiness, and digital transformation and contribute to shaping innovative digital services that deliver meaningful value to our customers, community, and people.
You’ll bring your analytical mindset and stakeholder expertise to:
Lead the collection and analysis of complex business requirements.
Be responsible for the development and writing of technical documentation.
Support testing and documentation throughout the project lifecycle
Facilitate workshops and working groups with technical, project, and business stakeholders.
The development and updating of technical documentation (e.g. “As built) and user knowledge articles.
About you:
We’re looking for someone who thrives in complexity and is driven by curiosity, collaboration, and continuous improvement. You’ll also bring:
Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field or extensive on the job experience in the aforementioned fields
Experience: Proven end-to-end business analyst experience across the full application lifecycle, including:
Facilitating stakeholder workshops and managing change
Working knowledge of ICT infrastructure and digital delivery
Exposure to technical documentation and systems analysis
Writing of Request For Quote (RFQ)
Skills:
Strong analytical and root cause problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication, facilitation, and documentation skills
Comfort and experience working in agile and cross-functional teams
Ability to manage multiple priorities and make effective decisions
Mindset:

Flexible, proactive, and resilient in the face of change
