We are seeking a HSW Workplace and Industry Safety Specialist to join our Risk and Resilience Group. This role is integral in shaping and enhancing our safety systems, governance frameworks and industry compliance to support a safe and healthy workplace for all.
Your impact
Working as part of the Health, Safety and Wellbeing team, you will:
Provide specialist input into the development, implementation and continuous improvement of our WHS management systems
Monitor and ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, ISO45001 standards, and industry-specific regulations
Develop practical governance tools and training programs that build safety capability across the organisation
Lead or support health and safety investigations and system improvements aligned with best practice
Partner across business units to foster a proactive and engaged safety culture
Manage HSW reporting, analytics and trends to inform decision-making and continuous improvement
What you’ll bring
Tertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety
Certification in ISO45001 or AS4801 auditing, and formal lead investigation training (e.g. ICAM or TapRoot)
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable)
Significant experience in WHS roles within high-risk, regulated environments such as utilities, petroleum, or heavy transport
Expertise in applying and improving certified HSW systems
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
