Your opportunity:
This is a 6 month contract role
Our Digital & Information group has an exciting opportunity for a Cyber Security Analyst who’s eager to grow their career in a data-rich, purpose-driven organisation.
The Cyber Security Analyst is responsible for building risk-based cyber security controls and handling cyber security operations to protect Urban Utilities from current and emerging cyber security threats. This is to be achieved by partnering across the Urban Utilities business and with third-party security providers. The role is responsible for ensuring cyber security incidents, vulnerabilities, threats and risks are detected, managed, investigated and resolved as per Urban Utilities processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Designs and executes test plans, ensuring that systems and services meet specified requirements. Provides technical guidance when required.
Identifies risks and vulnerabilities, assesses their impact and probability, develops mitigation strategies and reports to the business.
Configures environments to mirror real-world usage, collaborates with stakeholders to refine requirements and manages scalable automated testing frameworks.
Determines the risks associated with findings and non-compliance and proposes corrective actions.
Assesses, analyses, develops, documents and implements changes based on requests for change.
This is a 6 month contract role
About you:
Tertiary qualifications or degree in technology, engineering, or related fields, or equivalent experience with certifications in Cyber/Microsoft security tools preferred.
Proven experience in IT and OT/Cybersecurity with in-depth knowledge of cybersecurity practices, SCADA systems, IT networks, and communications.
Solid experience working within the Utility Industries (Water or Electricity) at a fully competent level.
Demonstrated experience collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, including cyber security, SCADA systems, IT and OT networks, and communications, at a fully competent level.
Strong working knowledge of relevant frameworks and legislation such as the SOCI Act, Essential 8, ITIL, privacy legislation, ISO2700x, NIST CSF, C2M2 and IEC 62443.
Expertise in Microsoft identity and security tools.
Experience in planning, managing, and organizing resources within short to medium timescales, aligned with overall policy frameworks.
