Our Maintenance Services team have full time permanentopportunity’sfor motivatedWater Industry Worker - Team Leadersbased atourAcacia Ridgeand Eagle Farmdepotsto guide our successful teams that keep water flowing to and from our customers’ properties.
Our teams provide quality, reliable drinking water to our customers and collect and transport wastewater from their properties. In this role,you'lllead one of our successful teams that contributes to the repair, reliability and operation of Queensland Urban Utilities’ assets ensuring customers’ expectations are met or exceeded.
The role requires that you be available to work shifts between 6am - 5:30am and work 2 weekends in 10 (shift penalties apply).This roster has set, recurrent rostered days off with potential overtime opportunities. In return,we'lltrain you in all aspects of the role so that you have real variety and career progression.
About you:
Previousexperience as a Team Leader or in a similar supervisory capacity in a similar industry – Civil Construction/Maintenance, Plumbing, Water, Utilities
Strong leadership skills with a knack for motivating,managingand mentoring a diverse team
Demonstrated knowledge of maintenance job evaluations and prioritisation,planningand execution of maintenance jobs, and completing reporting on job outcomes
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset
A commitment to safety and quality in every aspect of the job
Great communicationskills and the ability to work well with customers and colleagues alike
MR or HR driver's licence is mandatory – or willing to obtain prior to employment
It is desirable but not essential to have a Certificate III in Water Industry Operations and Frontline Management qualifications.
