Your Opportunity
We have a newly vacant Business Intelligence Analyst role in our Developer Services team, that sits in our Customer and Innovation group.
The Customer and Innovation group leads and champions the way Urban Utilities connects with its customers. Our approach is focused on remaining contemporary, by understanding the current and future needs of our customers and appropriately shaping our services.
The Business Intelligence Analyst role in Developer Services will create and manage real time data warehouse with data analytic interfaces, collate and analyse data to report on and enhance business performance and utilise market insights to build predictive models.
The role will use a combination of internal data, market intelligence and third-party data sources to inform decision making relating to, for example, water approval compliance; debt recovery; operational, financial and statutory performance.
Some of your accountabilities will include:
Collate and analyse data relating to customers and markets using business intelligence, methods and formats. Involves working independently and collaborating with stakeholders to understand reporting needs to build algorithms and establish the data systems to then collate and analyse data.
Support collection of business requirements using a variety of methods such as interviews, document analysis, Salesforce digital data and workflow analysis to express requirements clearly and succinctly.
Manage the Developer Services workspace within the Power BI workspace. Consult/collaborate with Urban Utilities' digital and information data infrastructure teams on to manage issues and changes within Developer Services datasets.
Execute and deliver elements of the digital road map, leveraging agile and design-thinking principles to drive sustainable implementation.
About You
We are seeking candidates who are passionate about shaping our future and, ideally, have the following qualifications, skills and experiences:
Extensive experience in the creation of complex reports such as the use of DAX code and Power Query for data transformation and modelling in data visualisation tools such as Power BI and in GIS
Experience in analysis of disparate data sets to create semantic models balancing attention to detail with big-picture perspective
Portfolio showcasing T-SQL, DAX and Power Queries for data transformation and modelling within Power BI
Bachelor degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Technology or equivalent work experience
