Your Opportunity

OurOperations Hubteam have an exciting,permanentopportunity for anOperations Hub Operatorto join the Operations and Maintenance Group within our Operations Hub. 

The Operations and Maintenance Group is accountable for the performance, operation and optimisation of Urban Utilities water and wastewater networks to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction is delivered. This includes planning the maintenance for Urban Utilities entire asset base.

Based in our Central Control Room at our head office in Fortitude Valley, the Operations Hub Operator monitors, controls andoperatesUrban Utilities’water,wastewater,andrecycled waternetworks.Using agrowing suite of operational technologies, including SCADA and IOT, weensurereal-time operational performance, prevention, and response to service interruptions and an exceptional experience to customers and delivery partners.

As a key member ofourOperations Hub Crew,you willbe requiredto work as part of the 24/7 rosterin ourOperations Huband may berequiredtocoverteamleave from time to time. The role may also berequiredto provide Operations Hub services such as permitting on behalf of Urban Utilities to non-regulated customers.

  • Contributing to the adoption of a digital culture, applying digital capabilities and a preventative operationalmethodology.

  • Activelyparticipatingand achieving the business goals of the Operations Hub Team by developing procedures and delivering response and prevention protocols to ensure our water and sewer network is running atoptimumlevel.

  • Building capability framework using existing formal and informal development opportunities.

  • Providing operational support services using existing systems and protocols.

  • Interpret commercial results and provide insights and recommendations of service trends.

  • Identifyand mitigate environmental risks and instruct the team in safe working methods.

About You

We are seeking candidates who are passionate about shaping our future and, ideally, have the following qualifications,skillsand experiences:

  • 3-5 years’ experience working in a similar operational role.

  • Ability to interpret and apply experience procedures or processes.

  • Demonstrated ability tomaintainstructured operational documentation and record keeping.

  • Demonstrated stakeholder management skills with well-developed interpersonal and written communication skills.

  • Well-developed influencing and relationship management skills.

  • Experience in managing several tasks concurrently when required and to have the ability to deal with issues responsibly and constructively.

  • Experience in operating distributed assets through operational technologies.

  • Demonstrated ability using operational technologies and systems such as SCADA, GIS,UrbanAccesspermittingsoftware, Guardian IMS and CMMSworksmanagement systems.

  • Ability to work well under pressure, be flexible, adaptable and be a team player.

  • Demonstrated experience working in a 24/7 team environment that has significant organisational impact and urgency associated
