About the Opportunity
Ready to bring learning to life? We’re on the lookout for a high energy Education Presenter who loves performing, engaging young minds, and making a real difference.
In this role, your “stage” will be schools and kindergartens, where you’ll deliver interactive shows packed with water and wastewater education storytelling, science experiments and hands on learning. You’ll turn important topics like water and sustainability into something kids genuinely get excited about and remember for generations.
This is a part-time role (Tuesdays & Thursdays) on a fixed term contract through to February 2027, with potential to extend.
What You’ll Do
Deliver engaging, interactive educational shows in schools and kindergartens
Use songs, and creative storytelling to connect with young audiences
Facilitate hands-on experiments and STEM demonstrations
Communicate key messages in a clear and consistent way
Build positive relationships with teachers and educators before and after sessions
Manage all logistics including set-up, pack-down, and travel between locations (including regional areas)
Maintain equipment, presentation kits, and the education vehicle
Represent the organisation professionally within the community
Support occasional weekend events
Complete basic admin tasks including emails, scheduling, and record-keeping
About You
You’re confident, energetic, and love being in front of a crowd especially when that crowd is full of curious young minds.
A natural performer who is confident presenting to groups
Engaging communication style with the ability to simplify complex ideas
Passionate about working with children and creating memorable experiences
High energy, positive, and able to hold attention in a classroom setting
Organised, reliable, and comfortable working independently
Flexible and resilient, with a proactive, can do attitude
Passionate about sustainability, water, or community impact
A strong team player who brings warmth and authenticity to every interaction
What You’ll Need
A current driver’s licence (required to drive the education van from Fortitude Valley)
A valid Blue Card (Working with Children), or willingness to obtain one.
Willingness to travel across multiple locations
