Te Whiwhinga Mahi | The Opportunity
Reporting to the Business Development Manager (BDM), the Foundation Officer will provide support to the BDM, College and the RANZCOG Women's Health Foundation across its Business Development, scholarships, grants, donor engagement, fundraising, communications and administration functions. The role supports the delivery of the College’s and Foundation programs and initiatives that advance women's health research, education and innovation, while helping to strengthen philanthropic support and stakeholder engagement. This is a part-time position, working 22.5 hours (0.6FTE) per week. Applications for 0.8 FTE (30 hours per week) will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Women’s Health Foundation, Business Development Manager and Research Grants Committee.
- Support the annual delivery of Foundation grants, scholarships and awards program including application, assessment, contracting and post-award processes.
- Assist with donor stewardship and relationship management, supporting communication and engagement with donors, funding partners and key stakeholders.
- Support the planning and implementation of Foundation fundraising initiatives, including appeals, campaigns, events and donor engagement activities.
- Contribute to the Foundation's operating budget by coordinating receipts and payments related to scholarships; and liaise with Finance on Foundation assets and funds.
- Support the effective use and ongoing improvement f grants and donor management systems, including Good Grants and related databases.
- Liaise with funding bodies and donors to maintain strong relationships and ensure scholarship deeds and conditions remain current.
- Assist in drafting accurate deeds, contracts, and scholarship documentation, including supporting the development of associated processes and policies.
- Contribute to the Foundation communications, including website content, EDM materials, promotional materials and donor communications.

The ideal candidate will have:

- A degree with subsequent relevant work experience in grant administration; or an equivalent combination of knowledge, training and/or experience
- Proven experience in grants administration including planning and monitoring grants cycles or programs
- Demonstrated experience in fundraising, philanthropy, donor relations, sponsorship, community engagement, or a related not-for-profit environment.
- Proficiency with Good Grants or other grants management software.
- Sound financial administration skills, including budget tracking and reporting.
- Excellent interpersonal and liaison skills, with the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines.
- High‑level computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience providing administrative support to committees, including agenda and minute preparation.
Desirable:
- A genuine interest in women's health and/or health education.
- Understanding of fundraising principles, donor stewardship, and philanthropic best practice.
- Experience supporting fundraising campaigns, appeals, events, grants.
- Enthusiasm for learning and contributing to a positive team culture.
