Where the team fits in
The Consumer Lifecycle team builds audience awareness, engagement and conversion through personalised, omni-channel programs that support people at every stage of their property journey. We use our marketing technology to help audiences discover relevant content, take useful next steps and stay engaged with REA.
This role focuses on people who visit realestate.com.au and realcommercial.com.au: helping them become members and delivering relevant experiences that support their property goals. Our work contributes to REA’s purpose of changing the way the world experiences property.
What the role is all about
The Lifecycle Campaign Specialist supports REA’s success by:
- Planning and delivering a busy program of consumer lifecycle campaigns across email, push notifications, in-app messages and web using Braze.
- Building and improving personalised, end-to-end journeys that help consumers move from discovery and membership through to meaningful action and ongoing engagement.
- Delivering a structured optimisation program across Braze campaigns, Canvases and channels. Define clear hypotheses, test plans and success measures, and assess incremental impact on engagement and conversion.
- Managing campaign audiences and eligibility; checking audience counts, contact rules and volume limits; and completing campaign proofing, testing and launch in Braze.
- Coordinating cross-channel communication schedules to manage contact pressure and support engagement and campaign outcomes.
- Working with Product, UX, Engineering, Analytics, News & Content and Marketing Operations to shape, build and deliver campaigns
- Checking the end-to-end customer experience before launch, including message rendering, audience logic, deep links, destination experiences and campaign tracking across web and app; investigating issues and partnering with technical teams to resolve them.
- Analysing campaign performance, sharing clear learnings and recommendations, and using results to inform future campaign decisions and stakeholder plans.
- Staying current with developments in lifecycle marketing, personalisation, channels and marketing operations, and identifying practical opportunities to apply them at REA.
What we’re looking for
- Experience creating and managing campaigns in an omni-channel or email marketing platform – experience with Braze is an advantage.
- Ability to turn consumer or business opportunities into clear campaign plans, with an understanding of the intended consumer benefit and expected outcome or impact.
- Experience delivering a lifecycle campaign or journey end to end—from brief and audience definition through build, QA, launch, reporting and optimisation.
- Strong attention to detail and a genuine commitment to creating useful, relevant consumer experiences.
- A data- and results-led approach, including experience developing tests, selecting meaningful success measures and interpreting results to guide decisions.
- Familiarity with experimentation methods and optimisation best practice, including assessing conversion and incremental impact where feasible.
- Confidence troubleshooting campaign implementation issues, including HTML, links, tracking and data or audience problems; able to work constructively with technical partners to resolve them.
- Strong planning and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage a busy campaign schedule and changing requirements in an agile environment.
- Clear communication and relationship-building skills, and the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- A collaborative, supportive approach and a willingness to help others succeed.
- A practical, creative mindset: curious about new opportunities, comfortable testing ideas and persistent when solving problems.
