Reinventure's mission is to pioneer Founder-First Corporate Venture Capital. We champion founders who have the vision, ambition and hustle to transform an industry across Asia-Pacific and beyond, propelling them with the support of a top 20 bank globally.
We pride ourselves on our diversity, with females comprising 44% of the team. Generous and gender neutral parental leave schemes and flexible working arrangements are in place to support all members of staff. We also have a 100% return rate of team members coming back to work following parental leave, enabled by a supportive team culture and flexible work being embraced from the top and throughout the organisation.
More broadly, we are working on initiatives to support diversity across our portfolio as well. 20% of our portfolio companies have a female founder (the 2017 EY Fintech Census showed that only 17% percent of fintechs have a female founder), and we created the site Female Fintech Founders to celebrate women building fintech companies across the country to highlight their work and encourage new entrants into the space.
We also ran a week-long internship rotation for female students in conjunction with Blackbird VC in 2017, and this year are running a Women in Venture Case Competition with UTS and Tech Sydney to upskill female students on the ins-and-outs of venture capital and help them learn confidence and practical skills to enter the industry.
