About the role:
Do you have strong administration and process skills, and feel ready to expand and grow in your role? We have an opportunity for the right individual to build their experience in Workers Compensation (please note that state experience is not a necessity).
Due to a growing and evolving portfolio, a fabulous opportunity exists for the right individual, to play an integral role in facilitating best practice in-house Claims Management across our entire NSW Self-Insurance portfolio.
With the ability to manage claims effectively and efficiently under self-insurance, and enhanced ownership over activities, this role is set the elevate self-development and job satisfaction. Working directly for the company whose claims you mange, the impact is great!
Supported and collaborating with a highly skilled, dynamic and knowledgeable team, as a Case Manager in Workers Compensation your key responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with the wider NSW Injury Management Team in assessing Liability and issuing determinations
- Arranging claim investigations as required
- Calculating Pre-Injury Average Weekly Earnings
- Assess treatment requests and determine in line with legislation
- Focus on claim strategies; develop and communicate Injury Management Plans
- Support our injured employees as they recover and provide guidance on process and decision
- Liaise with external legal providers, and assist in the management of disputed and litigated claims
- Day to day administration including file noting, accounts processing, enquiry response, claim estimates
- Comply with Self Insurance procedures, and work in line with the Claims Management Audit Manual
About you:
Our ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
- Superior organisational, analytical and administration skills
- NSW Return to Work certification ideal but not required
- Knowledge of NSW Work Cover Legislation ideal, with willingness to grow and expand
- Strong Microsoft Office and Administration experience
- Policy, Process, and Procedure driven
- Keep a strong focus on confidentiality, objectives and details
- You will be able to work autonomously and as part of a team with effective time management capability
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships both internal and external to our business
- A strong focus on health and safety at all times
- Self-Insurance Workers Compensation experience is a bonus!
