The Director AIC is responsible for leading a team that defines and delivers the Australian Industrial Capability (AIC) and Global Supply Chain (GSC) objectives across all RDA contracts including Land 121, Land 400-2, and future programs.
As the Director AIC, you can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks to include:
- Lead a team of dedicated AIC and GSC project management professionals to define the scope of Australian Industry engagement on programs and globally and then deliver on those objectives;
- Manage the relationships between the Commonwealth, Rheinmetall global and Australian industry groups;
- Provision of all AIC and GSC resources necessary for the delivery of RDA commitments;
- Overseeing AIC and GSC program delivery and ensuring programs are achieving KPI’s, providing updates and plans and ensuring all existing and future programs meet AIC and GSC targets;
- Support export from Australian suppliers into global supply chain;
- Ensuring alignment between global sourcing and Australian industrial capability commitments;
- Enabling the Programs and ensuring that they meet the AIC budget requirements as well as ensuring they are globally competitive; and
- Represent RDA at national and international AIC and GSC forums.
About your new team
The Director AIC role will report through into the Operations team and will form part of our Operations Senior Management team and have representatives in every program. You will oversee a dynamic team of seven (7) AIC and GSC professionals with this team continuing to grow each month. The role will be based in Redbank at our Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence (MILVEHCOE).

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:
- Degree in a technical or commercial field;
- 10+ years of working experience within AIC or supply chain;
- Detailed knowledge of contract management;
- Detailed knowledge of AIC Program delivery;
- Working knowledge of Supply Chain and import / export requirements;
- General knowledge of CASG operations and controls;
- Experience in managing subcontracts;
- Ability to travel internationally and interstate, when required; and
- Must hold or be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (must hold Australian Citizenship).
