As a Storeperson, you will work in a growing team to ensure all goods to our site are unloaded, received, checked stored and picked in a safe and timely manner. You will work collaboratively with the Rheinmetall Inventory, Quality and Production teams as well. This role will be based full time at our Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence in a still-new and well maintained warehouse.

As a Storeperson, you can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks to include:

  • Unloading freight from trucks and receiving incoming goods;
  • Checking for damages and for discrepancies between goods and invoices;
  • Re-packing goods as well as picking / packing / put-aways into racking;
  • Ensuring accurate documentation, labelling and storing of product is adhered to;
  • Operating manual handling equipment safely; and
  • Assisting with regular stock takes and audits.

About your new team

This role will report through to our Warehouse Manager and will work alongside 14 other warehouse operatives. The Warehouse team forms part of our greater Inventory Planning team which encompasses Material Control, Material Planning, a Logistics Engineer and SAP Master Data Specialists.

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:

  • Proven experience working in a large warehouse environment;
  • SAP system experience (desirable) or large ERP system experience;
  • Competent in the Microsoft Office suite;
  • LF (forklift) license (essential);
  • A positive attitude to safety and team work; and
  • Must hold or be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (must hold Australian Citizenship).
