About the Team
RDA’s finance department consists of a group of talented professionals dedicated to contributing to Australia’s sovereign capability. The Senior Tax Analyst will interact with a number of internal stakeholders including Procurement, HR, Commercial and Operations teams; as well as external stakeholders including the ATO.
About the Role
Reporting into the Finance Director – Tax, the Senior Tax Analyst will be responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of the company’s tax compliance obligations and for providing accurate tax advice to relevant stakeholders.
The Senior Tax Analyst can expect to be involved in the following tasks:
- Preparation of annual income tax returns and associated schedules;
- Preparation of annual tax-effect accounting entries and disclosures in accordance with AIFRS;
- Review of monthly BAS, including PAYG Instalment and PAYG withholding obligations;
- Review of employment tax returns (FBT, payroll tax);
- Prepare tax expense and tax payment forecasts for budgeting planning; and
- Prepare responses to ATO and State revenue office audits, reviews and requests for information.

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:
- Degree qualifications in Finance/Accounting/Commerce or related disciplines;
- Proven experience in a Tax role within public practice or industry;
- Expert knowledge on laws and regulations related to taxation in Australia, including transfer pricing laws and R&D Tax Incentive;
- Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship required).
