We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Workforce Participation Coordinator to join our team at The Melonba Education Campus in Marsden Park. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the local community while contributing to the success of a prestigious construction project.

THE ROLE

The primary role of the Workforce Participation Coordinator will be to report quantitative and qualitative data against the set targets whilst developing and implementing strategies to achieve all desired outcomes for the project & communities; This includes though is not limited to:
  • Build effective working relationships with project stakeholders, the Department of Education inc Training Services NSW, subcontractors, local community, local business, local government, and other relevant external stakeholder groups
  • Participate in regular meetings with the Department of Education including with the Program Manager and the Women in Construction focused ISLP Community of Practice meetings
  • Deliver presentations, facilitating meetings, and engaging with various working groups to achieve desired outcomes
  • Increase participation and retention rates of women on site
  • Increase the uptake of women completing education and training
  • Increase awareness on the importance of supporting women to work in the construction sector
  • Partner with local schools and the Department’s Regional Industry Education Partnership Program to promote careers for girls in construction
  • Facilitating pre-employment or pre-apprenticeship/traineeship programs to provide pathways for entry into the industry
  • Identifying opportunities for upskilling and training for women on the project
  • Liaise with all stakeholders to facilitate and coordinate opportunities for media events
  • Lead by example in setting an inclusive culture on site where all gender, cultures and diverse backgrounds are included

ABOUT YOU
  • Degree qualified, Cert IV, Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Business, Community Engagement or Social Policy.
  • High level communication skills, including the ability to effectively liaise with the community.
  • High level strategic analysis and advice to the Department of Education.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a team and engage with stakeholders and providers that support the delivery of local and Aboriginal Industry Participation.
  • Project planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.
