Richard Crookes Constructions (RCC) is a proudly Australian, family-owned organisation delivering major projects across NSW, QLD and the ACT. As we invest in modernising our data capability, this is a rare opportunity for a Data Engineer to help build a greenfield data environment in a stable, people-first business where technology directly supports real projects and communities.

We're rebuilding our enterprise data environment from the ground up, centralising data, redesigning integrations, and implementing a modern data platform. This is a hands-on, mid-level Data Engineer role for someone who enjoys building and wants to grow with a new tech stack.

If you understand data structures and how data comes together, you'll pick the rest up quickly. We'll invest in you as the platform evolves.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain new data environments
• Rebuild and re-point data integrations
• Design and manage data structures, pipelines, and datasets
• Support day-to-day reporting and insights
• Work hands-on in a greenfield data build

Tech environment

• Microsoft Fabric (being implemented - experience not required)
• Azure data services
• Power BI preferred (Oracle or similar BI tools also valued)

About you

• 3+ years' experience in a Data Engineer or similar role
• Strong understanding of data structures, pipelines, and integrations
• Hands-on, practical mindset
• Comfortable learning new tools and technologies

Exposure to construction or engineering data is a bonus, not essential.

Flexibility

• Start with 1-day WFH, moving to 2 days WFH once embedded

This is not a senior or people-management role, it's a build-focused position with strong growth runway.
