Job Description
We are looking for a Business Manager, DST, Asia Pacific to be based in Singapore, China or Australia.
The Asia Pacific DST Business Manager is responsible for supporting the growth and financial performance of the DST product portfolios in Asia Pacific. The role will achieve this by:
- driving growth and managing price of these assigned products
- launching new products within the region
- representing the region needs and performance to the global business unit.
- provide leadership and support to AP ITD Field Business Leaders, and technical/solution consultants
- play a key role directly supporting the AP OEM sales teams, ensure effective market access, and engage directly with key customers
Responsibilities:
FUNCTIONAL
- Develop annual business / strategy / growth plan in alignment with Asia Pacific Power Control, sales and OEM/SI/EU segment focus as well as Global Business Unit focus. Support integration of this plan within the operating rhythm of the regional sales organizations.
- Working with the global business unit, pricing and marketing; build, execute, and track product launch plans including target market/segment focus, price strategies, competency, value message localization, etc.
- Working with the global business unit and marketing; lead the localization of product messaging and value definition tools including support of communications and training to the field, trade shows, conferences, public relations, and leading message improvement recommendation feedback to HQ.
- Working with the regional product and sales teams; ensure availability and competitiveness of responsible products for local markets. Identify critical issues that impede success and implement plans to fix them including but not limited to local market portfolio fit, value communication, supply chain issues, etc.
- Provide monthly product and assigned initiative performance and causal reports and feedback to manager.
- Coordinate and collaborate with internal market access expansion stakeholders such as SSB / LCS and PCB / IPP teams to provide packaged or total solutions and systems by building market
BUSINESS
- Support the achievement of the financial targets of the Power control business in AP as defined by the AOP
- Achieve the financial targets of the DST business in AP as defined by the AOP
LEADERSHIP
- Represent the DST portfolio in the Asia Pacific market to the global business unit, pricing and marketing teams relative to market trends (relevant macro and customer segment specific), competitor trends (product features, product and sales strategies, pricing levels, business direction), and to the rest of the RA DST portfolio (DST portfolio value and fit relative to the overall system in target customer segments)
- Drive to achieve growth targets including, as necessary, support the building and execution of recovery plans, manage funnel analytics, lead commercial program development, escalation to sales leadership, gaps in alignment, etc.
- Work with PC Director and Marketing Programs manager and regional sales leaders to communicate AP commercial plan for DST Control products
- Through day to day interactions, identify and raise linkages for success – distributors, sales tools, estimation tools, pricing analytics, training, demonstration resources, industries, OEMs, etc
- Work closely with peers, OEM sales leaders, and marketing teams to link business plans and commercial plan with in-region activities, initiatives, and sales execution.
About You:
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent
- Minimum of 10 years of prior industry experience in factory automation. Industry knowledge, demonstrated leadership capabilities, control system application background, and product specific knowledge.
- OEM machine / SIEU / EPC experience strongly desired and a working technical knowledge of DST control is required.
- Field sales experience is vital. Proven ability to interact directly with a sales organization and with customers to influence behavior is required.
- Ability to travel at least 50% within the AP region
