Contract Supervisor – Rock Tools – Carrapateena Mine, South Australia

About the opportunity

We are seeking a Contract Supervisor to oversee contractual activities on-site, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective service delivery aligned with contractual obligations and site requirements.

In this role, you’ll act as the primary point of contact between site operations and external service providers. You’ll be responsible for ensuring contractor compliance, performance, and continuous improvement across multiple departments, including maintenance, construction, and site services.

This is a full-time position on an 8/6 roster.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of contractors within a designated area.

  • Monitor contractor performance against KPIs and ensure service delivery excellence.

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to benefit both internal teams and customers.

  • Conduct regular site inspections to uphold safety, quality, and compliance standards.

  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to align contractor services with operational priorities.

  • Support contract mobilization, onboarding, and renewal processes.

  • Acting as the key liaison between site operations and external service providers.

  • Partner with the Rock Tools EHS Manager to drive EHS initiatives, training, and customer-specific compliance requirements.

Your profile

  • Proven experience in a supervisory or coordination role, ideally within the mining or industrial sectors.

  • Strong knowledge of contractor compliance, performance management, and EHS standards.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

  • A solid understanding of rock tools and mining operations (highly desirable).

  • Ability to make sound operational decisions under pressure and manage multiple projects effectively.
