Sandvik is looking for a General Manager for its GET (Ground Engaging Tools) & Buckets business, located in Perth Australia.

OUR EXCITING OPPORTUNITY
We are now recruiting for a General Manager – GET & Buckets, in our Parts & Services Division. The Division drives the aftermarket business keeping customers’ fleet on track with needed services, solutions and parts and the Division is represented in more than 30 countries with more than 6,500 employees around the world.
As the General Manager for GET & Buckets you will set the strategy together with your management team and you have full P&L responsibility for the business.
Your mission – to develop and implement a strategy for taking the GET & Buckets business to the next level through international growth, investing in the product and organization, and collaboration with the rest of the Sandvik organization.
Your home office is in Perth, Australia and international travel is required for this position. You report to the Vice President, Strategy & Venture Business and you are an active member of the Strategy & Venture Business Management Team.
Within the scope of this role, you build partner relationships with Sandvik Mining and Rock Solution’s Divisions and Sales Areas to develop and execute your business and leverage the global organization of Sandvik to achieve synergies.
Key responsibility
As General Manager of the GET & Buckets business globally, you will join the team at a very exciting time. After identifying this business as an opportunity for growth the business has been restructured to offer more autonomy and increase speed of decision making. As such, as General manager you are instrumental in setting the new strategic direction for this business with a clear ambition for aggressive growth.
Your responsibility is to manage and develop GET & Buckets business globally including sales, product development, supply chain, business control and people management.
You have responsibility for strategy development for the GET & Bucket business, engaging with the Sandvik Sales Area organizations to understand how best to work with them to sell and service our product and for engaging with the Equipment Divisions to fully capture the potential of the Sandvik equipment sales.
Your profile
We are looking for an ambitious and entrepreneurial people leader with 10+ years’ experience in leading a business and a proven ability to analyse business results, market segments and customer behaviour. You have a university degree relevant to the position and an MBA would be highly regarded. An understanding of foundry processes and sand casting will be an advantage.
You are commercial by nature and have strong analytical and strategic skills. You have an innate ability to determine where to play, how to win and what it takes to win. As an adaptable person, and one who is equally skilful in both strategic planning and execution you know how to execute on the defined strategy and collaborate effectively in a global matrix organization.
You are a dynamic and inclusive leader who thrives on challenge and consistently ‘raises the bar’ across the deliverables to the organization. You focus on driving results and creating commitment, and you are structured in reaching your objectives. You have excellent influencing skills and an ability to develop trusted and collaborative relationships with your team and business stakeholders.
