The role
The successful candidate will perform Accounts Receivable collection activities, reconciliation and supporting/coaching & training the Accounts Receivable team. You will collaborate with the Manager to create innovate and initiate change to ensure best practice is supplied to the wider business while ensuring collection activity to keep overdues at acceptable level.
This role is a full-time requirement, however Sandvik recognises the desire for flexible working options. Flexible employment arrangements include condensed working weeks, working from home, flexible start/finish times, etc.
Areas of responsibility
- Collection Activities
- Reconciliation
- Back up to Manager on LOA approvals and PPSR / GST reconciliations
- Support the AR team with ongoing training
- Responsible for supporting BA and Country Finance in the AR process
- Work with the Business units to ensure customer service & collection activity are in line with business requirements
- Responsible for managing and developing the AR team including setting objectives, conducting performance reviews etc.
- Undertake leave relief or organize back up adequately amongst the team.
- Maintain the team rosters for shifts and mailbox coverage.
Your profile
You will have demonstrated experience in an Accounts Receivable role 5 years + and previous experience leading a team, you demonstrate leadership, passionate about what you do and thrive on your team meeting goals and targets, while leading the team to become outcome focused. You have a customer-centric approach, excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships quickly with stakeholders. You have Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You are competent Financial and accounting systems, while Exposure to the large Corporates in Mining, Construction and/or Engineering industries would be beneficial is desirable
