The role
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Senior Leadership team, reporting directly to the Vice President of Sales Area Australia & NZ, the Business Line Manager – Mechanical Cutting is critical to drive profitable growth of the Mechanical Cutting business through both equipment and aftermarket sales and services for the Australian Market. In this position, you’re responsible for the full P&L, setting business strategy aligned to the divisional strategy, executing on the strategic plans and driving sales for our Mechanical Cutting offering, whilst ensuring a seamless interaction between Mechanical Cutting Division and the Sales Area.
As the Business Line Manager, you lead, support and develop the Mechanical Cutting business, including customer management, proposals and quotations, together with local sales and account management teams. You are responsible for leading the employees of the BLM organisation by driving positive employee engagement and performance, together with building a diverse and inclusive organisation with safety on the forefront of everything you do.
Your profile
You have demonstrated experience in a senior leadership role with commercial and business acumen - commercial background or track record in a B2B industrial working environment with strong financial management skills is a preference. Furthermore you have strong technical understanding for underground coal mining or tunnelling industry. Experience in underground coal mining processes and equipment application and selection, combined with an understanding of the underground coal product safety requirements will be an advantage.
You have a passion for cultivating and fostering strong relationships, as its important for working with our internal and external customers. You understand the underground coal market, our customer needs, our competitors, and what actions we need to take to increase market share even further.
