About the Role
This is a compelling opportunity to join one of the most progressive and fast-growing areas of Schneider Electric. As Tender Manager – Protection & Automation, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering integrated hardware and software solutions across critical infrastructure projects, including data centres, hospitals, and major commercial and industrial environments across Australia.

What You Will Do
As part of the Tendering team, you will:
- Influence customer RFQs and prepare, approve, and submit budgetary and full tender offers in line with standard processes and tools
- Define and lead bid execution strategy, including tender planning, risk assessment, variation order and claims management strategies
- Initiate and manage bid preparation activities, including compiling documentation, leading kick off meetings, and coordinating inputs across teams
- Perform detailed risk analysis in collaboration with the tender team
- Build and lead tender teams to develop complete, technically sound, and commercially competitive offers
- Prepare and submit final bid packages and hand over successfully to execution teams
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Instrumentation Engineering, or a related discipline
- 10–15 years’ experience across power, utilities, rail, renewables, or energy storage projects
- Advanced understanding of power systems and the ability to collaborate closely with Protection Engineers
- Ability to develop, review, and interpret technical documentation and specifications
- Strong technical knowledge of power networks, with protection and control engineering across HV, MV, and LV systems
- Strong technical knowledge about Schneider Electric IED portfolio (VAMP, SEPAM, MICOM, EASERGY, POWERLOGIC) and other vendors like GE, SEL, Siemens product range.
- Strong knowledge of communication protocols including IEC 61850, Modbus, DNP3, IEC 103, OPC, and Profibus
- Experience in concept and detailed design, including review of protection schemes, secondary designs, and protection settings
