At Schneider Electric, we're helping customers build the next generation of data centres that power our digital world. From enterprise facilities to hyperscale environments, we deliver integrated solutions across power, cooling, monitoring and services to improve efficiency, resilience and sustainability.

We're looking for a Customer Technical Lead - Data Centre to join our One Solution team. This is a senior customer-facing role that combines technical expertise, solution design and commercial acumen. Working closely with sales teams, customers, consultants and internal stakeholders, you'll develop innovative data centre solutions, influence key technical decisions, and help position Schneider Electric to win strategic opportunities.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys engaging with customers, solving complex technical challenges, and translating business requirements into practical, commercially viable solutions.

What you'll do

As the technical lead for strategic opportunities, you'll play a critical role from early-stage customer engagement through to solution development and successful project handover.

You'll be responsible to:

  • Design and optimise data centre solutions across power, cooling, monitoring and supporting infrastructure
  • Partner with sales teams to develop customer strategies and drive technical engagement throughout the opportunity lifecycle
  • Develop solution designs, cost models, proposals, bills of materials and technical documentation
  • Lead technical workshops, application sessions and design reviews with customers and consultants
  • Influence specifications and standards through targeted prescription activities and pre-tender engagement
  • Provide expert guidance on data centre reliability, energy efficiency and sustainability best practices
  • Contribute to innovation initiatives and continuous improvement across the data centre portfolio

About you

You'll be the trusted technical authority for data centre power systems, partnering with customers, consultants and design firms to influence critical infrastructure decisions and position Schneider Electric's solutions early in the design cycle.

You'll bring:

  • Degree or Diploma qualification in Electrical Engineering
  • 10+ years' experience in application engineering, solution architecture, presales or a similar role within the data centre industry
  • Great knowledge of data centre electrical infrastructure, power distribution systems, cooling technologies and monitoring solutions
  • Experience designing, developing and optimising integrated data centre solutions
  • Experience preparing costings, proposals and technical submissions for complex projects
  • Understanding of customer requirements and the ability to balance technical, commercial and operational considerations

Why join Schneider Electric?

This is an opportunity to work on some of the most significant data centre projects across the Pacific region while partnering with industry-leading customers, consultants and technology experts. You'll have the autonomy to influence major infrastructure decisions, help shape future-ready solutions, and contribute to a business at the forefront of energy management and digital transformation.

If you're passionate about data centre technology, enjoy working directly with customers, and thrive on turning complex challenges into winning solutions, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today and join Schneider Electric as we help build the resilient, efficient and sustainable data centres of tomorrow.
