As Head of Marketing & Strategy - Industrial Automation Pacific, you will be responsible for shaping and delivering the marketing, communications, and customer engagement strategy across Australia and New Zealand.

The preferred location is Sydney, Brisbane, or Melbourne, however, we are open to considering exceptional candidates based anywhere in Australia.

Reporting as a key member of the Industrial Automation Leadership Team, you will play a critical role in positioning Schneider Electric as the preferred digital partner for sustainability, efficiency, and automation solutions.

This is a strategic leadership role that combines commercial acumen, customer engagement, thought leadership, and digital marketing excellence to drive business growth and strengthen Schneider Electric's market presence across the Pacific Zone.

About You

You are a commercially minded and strategic marketing leader with experience in industrial automation, technology, engineering, or sustainability-focused industries. You have a proven ability to lead high-performing teams, influence senior stakeholders, and translate market opportunities into business growth. Passionate about customer engagement and digital transformation, you thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy working collaboratively across functions to deliver impactful outcomes.

Responsibilities

As Head of Marketing & Strategy, you will:

• Define and execute the Industrial Automation marketing, communications, and customer engagement strategy across the Pacific Zone.
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing marketing team, including succession planning and capability development.
• Partner with Industrial Automation sales teams to support revenue growth and market expansion.
• Collaborate with global marketing teams and business leaders to align local strategies with Schneider Electric's global vision.
• Drive a digital-first marketing approach through the use of data, automation, and enhanced customer experiences.
• Lead offer marketing activities, including market analysis, competitive positioning, pricing strategy, and go-to-market planning.
• Develop and execute annual marketing and sales plans aligned with business objectives.
• Build strategic relationships with customers, partners, and industry associations to strengthen Schneider Electric's thought leadership position.
• Partner with Customer Experience teams to improve customer satisfaction and Net Promoter Score (NPS) outcomes.
• Oversee internal communications to ensure employees are engaged and aligned with business strategy and priorities.
• Drive business performance metrics, including demand creation, customer experience, and sales pipeline growth.
• Support breakthrough growth initiatives through targeted marketing campaigns, sales enablement tools, and strategic market positioning.

Qualifications & Experience

• Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Business, Engineering, Technology, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in commercial, technical, sales, marketing, business management, or leadership roles within Industrial Automation, High-Tech, Engineering, or related industries.
• Proven experience developing and executing strategic marketing and commercial growth initiatives, with a strong track record of driving business performance and supporting organisational success.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including building, mentoring, and leading high-performing teams.
• Strong experience working with senior stakeholders across complex and matrixed organisations.
• Technical knowledge of industrial automation solutions, digital technologies, industrial systems, or sustainability-focused technologies.
• Experience managing P&L responsibilities, forecasting, budgeting, and business planning processes.
• Sound understanding of industrial automation markets, technologies, and emerging industry trends.
