The Opportunity:

We have an exciting opportunity for a recent engineering graduate to join our Digital Building Business as a Junior service Engineer. Our Service Engineers are uniquely placed as technical partners to our customers, who range in size and across Defence, Healthcare, Data Centres, Education, Retail Shopping Centres and Commercial Buildings. Training and extensive supportive will be provided to the successful candidate, seeking only those that will be passionate about partnering with our customers to improve their business’ with a focus to drive better energy efficiency outcomes.

Partnering with customers, at multiple client sites across Melbourne, you will become part of an experienced team that provides outstanding service and support to our clients. This is a chance to kickstart your engineering knowledge into action and grow a long-lasting career with our organization.

The day to day:

At Schneider Electric, no two days will be the same however you will be trained to become proficient on, service and maintenance of HVAC automation systems, troubleshooting and implementing energy efficiency strategies.

From here you will have the chance to specialize in automation, security systems, optimizing building performance, cyber security, or a networks and integrations specialist – just to name a few!

As an individual early in your career, you will be mentored by a team of professionals and will develop skills to enable you to prioritise your work and follow through projects to completion. With excellent communication skills, you will be comfortable to build relationships and become confident in a customer facing role.

In addition, you will possess the following skills:

• Tertiary qualifications in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and ability to work both autonomously or as a member of a team;
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and highly proficient with MS Office and various IT systems
• Desire to build a long-term career by learning and developing technical knowledge and skills
• Valid Australian Drivers License
