Sedgman is looking for suitably qualified and experienced Material Handling Engineers for Permanent positions to join our Team in Perth.

Key responsibilities of the role:

• Working as part of an experienced and established materials handling team to leverage previous project designs whilst still being adaptable and able to provide innovative designs and thinking when required.
• Working in a highly experienced team to assist in the delivery of small and large, domestic and international projects as they progress through the project lifecycle from early concept development, detailed design, construction, commissioning and operations
• Assisting in the preparation of conceptual and detailed design of various ore crushing and conveying facilities and associated services
• Undertaking the preparation of feasibility studies, surveys and reports, design layouts, bill of quantities and cost estimates. Generating equipment specifications and support the equipment procurement activities during project execution.
• Liaising with internal and external clients, other discipline engineers, and stakeholders within the industry to ensure the timely, accurate and cost effective delivery of projects

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical)
• At least 5 years’ experience, preferably in the project design, commissioning and onsite operation environments
• Experience with materials handling equipment such as conveyors, crushing, screening and milling
• Site-based practical experience with commissioning, operation, problem solving issues will be highly regarded
• Materials handling experience with multiple commodity types highly regarded
