Position Summary:

The Platform Lead is responsible for the architecture, delivery, and ongoing management of cloud and platform services that support enterprise applications and critical business workloads. The role ensures platforms are secure, scalable, reliable, and aligned with organizational standards. The Platform Lead works closely with engineering teams, architects, and stakeholders to drive technology strategy, modernization initiatives, and operational excellence across the platform ecosystem.

Mandatory Skills:

• Extensive experience in cloud platform engineering, with a proven track record of designing and building enterprise-scale solutions on AWS.
• Hands-on experience in security engineering practices, including secrets management and vulnerability controls.
• Ability to analyze complex systems, optimize performance, troubleshoot issues, and deliver scalable solutions.
• Advanced, specialized expertise in Infrastructure as Code, demonstrated by authoring organizational standards and creating complex, customized Terraform modules.
• Deep, hands-on proficiency in architecting and customizing end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Make, Bash, Python, Atlantis, and Ansible with integrated security and governance.
• Proven expertise in Kubernetes administration and customization, including security hardening, network policy design, and multi-tenant cluster strategies.
• Significant experience in implementing and customizing full-stack observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki) and developing automation tools to solve critical business inefficiencies.
• Strong experience administering, tuning, and troubleshooting DB2 databases in enterprise environments.
• Deep understanding of Infosphere data integration, data quality, and ETL orchestration.
• Ability to manage Cognos environments, optimize reporting performance, and support analytics workloads.
• Experience with Unica campaign management, configuration, and operational support.
• Working knowledge of Collibra data governance, cataloging, and stewardship frameworks
• Strong skills in Tableau Server administration, dashboard lifecycle management, and performance optimization.
• Practical experience designing and supporting CDC pipelines for real-time data integration.
• Knowledge of Axway API Management or MFT (Managed File Transfer) platforms, including integration and operational oversight.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead design and delivery of scalable, secure, high-performing cloud and platform solutions.
• Govern platform standards and ensure alignment with architecture, security, and compliance requirements.
• Designing, developing, and maintaining cloud platform services, automation frameworks, and infrastructure components.
• Building CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and environment provisioning using industry best practices.
• Implementing Infrastructure-as-Code solutions, including module standardization, governance controls, and quality checks.
• Integrating security controls, secrets management, and compliance validation into platform workflows.
• Performing performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting across cloud infrastructure and applications.
• Oversee the operation of shared services such as Database, Cluster, IAM, monitoring, logging, and automation frameworks.
• Drive platform modernization initiatives, including migration, resilience engineering, and cost optimization.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to enable efficient onboarding, deployment, and continuous improvement.
• Guide technical teams through complex problem-solving and incident resolution.
• Maintain platform documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and best practices for platform engineering and DevOps capabilities.

Qualifications & Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• AWS Solutions Architect Associate/Professional or equivalent cloud certification.

• Terraform certification.

• ITIL or related service management experience is an advantage.

Salary Range: >$100,000
