Job Summary

Senior Data Engineer Role:

• Lead the hands-on implementation and ongoing management of our Data Vault 2.0 data models implementation.
• Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries to perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
• Ensure the quality, integrity, and availability of data across all of our systems.
• Collaborate with analysts, testers and business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and leading the delivery.

Required Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience with Data Vault 2.0 implementation
• Expert-level SQL skills with a deep understanding of query optimization and data modeling.
• Solid experience with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.

Preferred Skills & Bonus Points

• A strong understanding and practical experience with dbt (data build tool) is a significant bonus.
• Hands-on experience with the Databricks platform is highly preferred.
• Strong domain knowledge in the General Insurance industry is highly preferred
• Proficiency in a programming language such as Python.
• Experience with data orchestration tools like Airflow or Prefect.
