About Snowy:

Step into a career that’s as big as Australia’s energy future! Snowy 2.0 is more than a project—it’s the nation’s largest renewable energy initiative, expanding the iconic Snowy Scheme to deliver reliable power and critical energy storage. As part of the client-side Owner’s Team, we lead the charge, working hand-in-hand with delivery partners and stakeholders to make Snowy Hydro’s vision of a sustainable, reliable energy future a reality.

About the position:

We are seeking a Contract Administrator to join our expanding Commercial team on the Snowy 2.0 Project. In this role, you will be responsible for day-to-day contract administration, governance, and contractual reviews associated with the large-scale Future Generation supply chain. Working closely with the Commercial Lead and Site Construction teams, you will play a critical role in managing day-to-day disputes, evaluating variation proposals, and ensuring robust project governance for an $8.5 billion element of this historic venture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Administration & Communications: Draft, interpret, and manage formal contractual communications, including notices, instructions, and variation amendments in compliance with project policy.

  • Variation & Claims Management: Evaluate claims and requests for variation proposals for reasonableness and technical justification, conducting thorough reviews to ensure full auditability and accountability.

  • Payment Cycle Administration: Oversee and manage the end-to-end contract payment cycle, monitoring milestones, deliverables, transaction compliance, and invoicing.

  • Dispute Resolution Support: Provide critical input into claims data monitoring, handle ongoing issue and change management, and support dispute resolution frameworks such as the Dispute Avoidance and Adjudication Board (DAAB), adjudication, or arbitration.

  • Contractual Interface & Governance: Act as the key contractual interface between accountable individuals and the FG contractor supply chain, ensuring rigorous adherence to contractual time bars and project governance requirements.

  • Compliance & Records Management: Ensure that all signed contracts, certificates of insurance, and security documentation remain current, maintaining meticulous records of all contract correspondence.

About the location:

The role is based in Cooma to facilitate close, on-site collaboration with the contractor and delivery teams. A generous relocation package is available for candidates ready to move. Alternatively, a Fly-In, Fly-Out (FIFO) or Drive-In, Drive-Out (DIDO) 5:2 roster (5 days on-site, Monday to Friday) will be fully supported.

About you:

You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Law, or a related field. You are backed by strong experience in contract administration, procurement, or quantity surveying on major heavy civil infrastructure, heavy electrical/mechanical (E&M), or power station projects. You possess an exceptional aptitude for interpreting complex or bespoke head contracts, analyzing quantitative claims, and writing rigorous reports. Familiarity with construction law and relevant legislation (e.g., Security of Payment Act) is highly advantageous. Personally, you thrive in a diverse, multinational team environment, demonstrating flexibility, an open communication style, and a collaborative approach to solving complex commercial challenges.

About our workforce:

At Snowy 2.0, we live by “One Team Working Together.” If you thrive on problem-solving, love a challenge, and want to make a real difference on a lifetime-defining CV project, this is your chance to join a team shaping the future of renewable energy. Come be part of one of Australia’s most iconic infrastructure projects—apply now and start your Snowy story!
