Snowy Hydro has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and driven Hydro Maintainer - Civil with our Civil Maintenance Team at Jindabyne, NSW.
THE ROLE
A Hydro Maintainer - Civil, undertakes a wide range of maintenance tasks on civil assets including: roads, tracks, tunnels, aqueducts and dams. Duties also include mobile plant operation, snow-clearing, plant maintenance and vegetation management and supporting our maintenance teams as trade assistants.
All duties are required to be performed to high safety and environmental standards to ensure quality maintenance throughout the region. This will enable the reliable delivery and availability of Snowy Scheme assets.
This position is based at Jindabyne NSW and is not a DIDO or FIFO arrangement.
YOUR PROFILE
We are looking for a reliable self-starter looking for their next challenge, with a broad-range of civil maintenance experience. The ideal candidate will have:
Experience in civil operation works, which includes but is not limited to; heavy mobile equipment, fixed mobile plant, snow clearing plant and equipment and vegetation management equipment.
Ability to work in a small team environment.
Ability to attain appropriate skills, certificates or qualifications relevant to civil maintenance work such as mobile plant operation competencies, rigging, scaffolding, confined space, working at heights, traffic control, chainsaw operation, use of powered hand tools, etc
Ability to obtain relevant operational competencies to operate Civil asset infrastructure.
Current industry Cert III including heavy equipment operation is desirable
Ability to work in a wide range of environments including power stations, tunnels, alpine conditions and on-water dam maintenance and inspections
Fundamental skills for usage of computers, mobile computing technology and knowledge of a computer based maintenance system.
