In this role, you won’t just be following processes, you’ll be defining them. You will ensure that every Snowy Hydro project strikes the perfect balance between engineering excellence and commercial efficiency by championing the Minimum Technical Solution (MTS) framework. This isn't just an engineering role; it’s a strategic one. Your Impact:
- Lead the development and consistent application of the MTS process to streamline project delivery.
- Facilitate and critically assess project requirements to determine the "minimum viable" path, ensuring additional scope is only added when it provides clear, measurable value.
- Improve Outcomes by Identifying and implementing measures that enhance delivery speed and cost-effectiveness without compromising on quality.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Development and management of the ongoing refinement of the Minimum Technical Solution (MTS) procedure.
-
Embedding continuous improvement principles to ensure the initiative remains practical, scalable, and aligned with Snowy Hydro’s strategic and commercial objectives.
-
Facilitation of MTS Workshops and Challenge Sessions.
-
Pairing back projects, and being clear about what the minimum scope is for.
-
Delivering structured onboarding and training programs for Project Managers and other key stakeholders to build an understanding, capability, and consistent application of the MTS approach.
-
Actively collaborate with nominated MTS champions to promote ownership, embed MTS thinking in day-to-day decision-making, and support internal capability uplift.
About the location:
This is a one year fixed term contract, based in Cooma.
About you:
- You’ll have significant technical expertise in order to communicate in a knowledgeable fashion with key stakeholders.
- You’ll bring a strong commercial background, being able to recognise how MTS can benefit Snowy, the ability to interpret financial data, evaluate business cases, and deliver cost-effective, value-driven outcomes.
- You are a confident communicator, comfortable in facilitating workshops, through to providing updates to senior management on progress of the MTS initiative.
- You have significant influencing skills, being able to work with Snowy team members at all levels in adopting MTS.
