Are you an Experienced Security Officer with a customer service focus and a high level of attention to detail, if so, apply now! Sodexo is looking for Security Officer to work in Village at ERA, NT. The Security Officer will be rostered on a 14 day on, 14 days off – 12 hours per night shift. Permanent nightshift hours are 17:30 - 5:30 This is a great opportunity for the right person with the right experience who excels in thinking outside the box to provide the highest level of service.
Charter bus transport provided to and from Darwin to site, accomodation and meals also provided whilst working on site.
Aerodrome Reporting Officer qualification highly regarded as the position requires airport inspections overnight, assisting Careflight as required at Jabiru Airport, training will be provided for a successful candidate if you do not hold this certfication.
Who are we looking for?
As Security Officer you will be required to provide security services appropriate to the Village. Provision of a safe environment for residents, visitors and staff through sound knowledge of security, fire and occupational health and safety legislation relevant to mine site village facilities. To ensure the practical application of security and risk management principles and practices at the Village.
To be successful in the role:
- Conducting regular foot or mobile patrols of transit housing - vacant and occupied properties. SPQ residential sector, village and town flats
- Current Northern Territory Security Licence
Current C class manual drivers license as a minimum
- Provide basic response for: fire/security alarms, anti-social behaviour, room lockouts and basic first aid
- Monitoring of critical infrastructure and personnel
- Provide basic crowd control
- Compiling periodical Security Audit Reports, as well as ad hoc reports as required
- Compile the daily occurrence/incident log and conduct appropriate handover
- Responding to incidents
- Ensure site integrity and safety
- Provide a physical presence in order to deter disturbance
- Compile periodical Security Audit Reports, as well as ad hoc reports as required
- Uphold all Federal and state laws
