ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Planning Services Superintendent (Geology), as a Graduate Geologist, you will participate in a 2-year structured graduate program developing role specific skills as outlined in your personal Graduate Development Plan Passport.

This development opportunity will ensure you achieve the technical, professional and personal experience required to further your career and reach your full potential.

Boddington

This role is based at the Boddington Bauxite Mine located a short drive from the community of Boddington (10 minutes), Pinjarra (50 minutes) and the City of Mandurah (1 hour).

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Demonstrate commitment & conformance to safe work practices and procedures
• Progression of increased responsibilities during the two-year development period to that of a Geologist with specific skills including:

• Geological understanding of the ore deposit
• Mining and production processing
• Data management
• QAQC
• Drilling
• Data integration, interpretation and reporting
• Reconciliation
• Exploration
• Block modelling
• Contractor management
• Project work

• The ability to build relationships and work collaboratively to deliver great outcomes
• A strong work ethic with the ability to meet deadlines
• Commitment to learn and expand your knowledge of the mining industry
• Competent user of MS office suite of products

Qualifications for this position are:

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology (or equivalent)
• C class driver’s licence (manual desirable)
