ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Senior Production Risk & Assurance Specialist is a leadership role which is accountable for the management of the Department Assurance and Operating Systems. The successful applicant with work directly with the Production Manager, Superintendents and operational teams to implement world class systems that ensure we can deliver on our Safety Guarantee and drive high performance operational outcomes

Key responsibilities are, but not limited to:

• Working collaboratively to build a culture of safe operation and inclusive workplace behaviours
• Manage compliance to department safety and risk management systems
• Implement and improve process and quality assurance systems such as ISO9001
• Governs process standards, procedures and work instructions for operational teams

This role will be offered on a Permanent basis.

Location

Refinery

This role will be based at our Worsley Alumina Refinery which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (35 minutes) and other nearby scenic communities.

ABOUT YOU

• Relevant experience in either Alumina Refinery Operations or Risk and Assurance in an industrial context
• Self-motivated with capability to operate autonomously in a dynamic production environment
• Safety and risk reduction mindset which is delivered through inclusiveness, operating discipline, and an improvement focus
• Proven capability to turn data into insights and drive sustainable change
• Works collaborative with stakeholders to consistently deliver high quality outcomes

Qualifications for this position are:

• Certificate IV in relevant field such as Health, Safety, Training, Risk Management and Process Operations

Desired Qualification:

• Tertiary qualification in relevant field with specific preference for Process Engineering
