Purpose
Offered as a permanent opportunity this role will have a focus on shaping and delivering University Recruitment Campaigns (Graduate & Vacation recruitment programs) the Specialist Talent Acquisition is responsible for the delivery and continuous improvement of the South32 Corporate and Australian Talent Acquisition strategy. This role will also provide expertise, advise and framework for other project related recruitment activities, including (Trainees, Apprenticeships and bulk recruitment campaigns).
The Role
- Design, shape and drive proactive talent strategies to attract and retain high calibre Graduates & Vacation students.
- Provide input into the Workforce Plan by taking carriage of the graduate and vacation demand and supply forecasting and planning
- Identify and manage providers and organisations for the company to partner with to enable the provision of Trainee and Apprenticeship programs
- Assists in the development and execution of the Talent Acquisition strategy and governance framework;
- Works in collaboration with and provides guidance to outsourced providers for South32 Corporate Functions and South32 Australia & South Africa regions;
- Provides advice and recommendations to the Principal on relevant technologies and business improvement opportunities
- Business partnering with key stakeholders to provide strategic advice relating to recruitment and talent acquisition opportunities and best practice
- Represent South32 at relevant industry and recruitment events – this includes travel to regional assets where necessary
- Support as necessary the South32 Corporate functions and Australian regional assets in the full end to end recruitment process
- Identify and work with 3rd party vendors where appropriate to enable the execution of all relevant programs.
Competencies
- Demonstrated experience of designing and implementing national university recruitment campaigns
- Demonstrated experience of establishing and formalising trainee and apprenticeship programs
- Demonstrated experience partnering with senior leaders to translate business strategies into people strategy;
- Demonstrated experience and skills in the field of Talent Acquisition and/or Recruitment;
- Demonstrated internal consulting, business partnership and change management experience;
- Demonstrated experience of recruitment project management and leadership
- Experience liaising with diverse and complex stakeholder groups at all levels of an organisation and working with 3rd party suppliers in support of strategic people initiatives;
- Strategic thinker, highly self-motivated, results oriented and delivery focused;
- High attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities whilst maintaining customer centric thinking
- Previous experience in implementing and roll out of new recruitment programs and associated HR process
- SAP & Success Factors experience (preferred)
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in HR, Organisational Psychology or Business (preferred)
