OPERATOR REFINERY PROCESS TRAINEE
The opportunity
South 32 is currently seeking a number of Trainee Refinery Process Operators to be part of a two-year Traineeship Program at Worsley Alumina.
Our traineeships provide a nationally recognised qualification (Certificate III in Process Plant Operations) upon successful completion, and are designed to instil the skills required to operate a chemical process plant whilst building a future career in the Mining industry. Our Trainees receive quality on the job training, coaching and mentoring from our qualified and experienced Leaders, Operators and Trainers.
Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend a Trainee assessment session (half day) onsite at Worsley. This is a compulsory requirement to progress in the selection process.
About the Trainee Roles
Based at our Worsley Refinery, our Trainee Operators learn to operate the physical assets, refinery process plant and equipment to support safe and stable operations. As our refinery operates on a 24/7 basis, these positions are required to work 12 hours per shift on a continuous rotating roster (days/nights), working an average of 42 hours per week.
This is a full-time 2-year fixed term opportunity with the expectation to transition to our full time. workforce upon completion. In return, our Trainees receive;
