ABOUT GEMCO
Located on the tropical Groote Eylandt in the Northern Territory, GEMCO is an open-cut mine that is accountable for over 15% of the world’s manganese ore production. Groote Eylandt is home to the Anindilyakwa people, who are the traditional owners of the land and have been working alongside GEMCO since 1963.
The onsite accommodation includes meal services and access to excellent facilities, including a gym, beachside workout area, swimming pool, golf course, tennis and squash courts, a sports oval and a range of scenic walking tracks.

ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is a Permanent position on a 7:7 day shift roster, FIFO from Darwin or Cairns.
As the Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising safe, efficient and compliant warehouse operations, ensuring materials are stored, handled and controlled to the required standards
Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:
- Provide day‑to‑day leadership and direction to support warehouse performance
- Verify work standards, critical controls and safety requirements are met
- Oversee stock administration, security, storage quality and Chain of Responsibility
- Support logistics planning, issue resolution and investigations into material discrepancies
ABOUT YOU
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
- Proven ability leading and supporting a warehouse team in a heavy industry environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement across operational and supply teams
- Ability to manage priorities, solve problems and maintain high accuracy in stock control
- Experience driving improvement, coaching capability and supporting safe work practices
Qualifications for this position are:
- Load Restraint, Dangerous Goods Handling and Chain of Responsibility training (desirable)
- High‑risk forklift ticket
- Current C Class Driver’s Licence
