About the role
Reporting into the Racing Risk team lead, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all team members are delivering this to our customers, through design & delivery of operational strategy, performance coaching and ‘ways-of-working’ enablement. We’re looking for engaged, proactive people to run the day to day operations in the Racing Risk team. This role would suit those with a high attention to detail, a problem-solving mindset and the ability to work calmly but effectively under pressure. If you are adaptable, well organised and enjoy being in the heart of the action - this may be the role for you. Integrity, modesty, and collaboration are key values in the risk team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Escalation point for team members in lieu of team lead
- Oversight of daily running of operational risk, ensuring operational team are consistently delivering on KPIs
- Alongside team lead, develop and implement best practises for both operational and strategic risk initiatives
- Ownership of maintaining current, data driven risk tooling with technology teams
- Continual review and optimisation of risk tasks, techniques and strategies
- Risk SME in the development of risk ecosystem tooling
- Provide strong, risk-focused recommendations to stakeholders across R&T and beyond
- Direct responsibility for coaching & development of junior team members
- Review and in-depth analysis of both customer and market offerings as required
- Risk representative to multiple stakeholders, including Global R&T, Customer Operations, Technology, Product, Data and Legal.
- Liability management and escalation
The Risk & Trading team at Sportsbet adopt a flexible 5 day working week policy based on customer needs to ensure a great work-life balance for our staff, however there is a requirement for weekend work (rotating roster). Shifts will generally fall between 7am – 10pm.
