About the role
Reporting to the Head of Planning, this Finance Business Partner role will have you putting your numerical, reporting, modelling and commercial skills to use as you help to ensure that Sportsbet.com.au continues to assist its key decision makers across all business functions. You will also play a leading role in the consolidation and management of Sportsbet’s annual budget, quarterly forecast and analysis on business momentum/opportunities.
You will be leading the relationship with key stakeholders across the departments you partner with,and driving the annual budget and quarterly forecasting process. The ongoing management of spend with budget owners and the analysis and responses to business momentum will also be key parts of the role. You will also play a large role in the financial modelling and assessment of investment decisions across the business.
Financial modelling and industry experience will be core to success in this role.
Key responsibilities include:
- Playing a key role with your departments to prepare and manage performance against their annual budget and quarterly reforecasts
- Providing insightful and high-quality analysis as part of delivering the Budget Pack to Sportsbet’s Leadership Team and to Flutter
- Playing a key role in the consolidation of the P&L and providing commentary on movements to the Head of Planning, GM Finance and CFO
- Regular presentations of results and business momentum to your departments, including at all-hands meetings
- Be able to proactively flag and identify risks and opportunities to your departments
- Provide high quality commentary and analysis for the weekly, monthly and adhoc reporting packs
- Drive process improvement throughout the business with performance and trend analysis
- Frequent adhoc project and analysis opportunities for performance, product and investment decisions
- Develop complex financial models, including sensitivity and scenario analysis, to assist senior management in key decision-making functions
About You
You have a customer first attitude and constantly strive to improve customers’ experience. You question the status quo and think critically to drive innovation
In addition, we’re looking for someone with:
- At least 5 years’ experience in a Finance Business Partnering or FP&A role
- CPA or CA professional qualification
- Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills
- Experience building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships across all levels of the business
- The drive to challenge yourself to do things differently & go the extra mile to overdeliver on excitement
