About The Role
Supporting the GM Compliance & Process Optimisation & AML Compliance Officer, this role will play a key role within this function in delivering on the compliance assurance and transformation agenda. The successful applicant will oversee the delivery of various assurance and transformation-based initiatives whilst preparing C-Suite and Board level reporting on progress, trends, and insights both from a program and operational perspective.
Sportsbet’s Compliance & Process Optimisation Function is centralised capability that accelerates the confidence of the Customer Leadership Team in the performance and scalability of our processes and systems (controls) that are relied on to meet our regulatory obligations and continuously drives (implements) efficiencies and scale in our department as our environment evolves and changes. Examples of regulatory obligations this Department is accountable for include AML, consumer protection, marketing, advertising, SPAM and CRM, Privacy and aspects of Sportsbet’s wagering licence.
Responsibilities Include:
This uniquely positioned function not only works through the Department to diagnose and assess the performance of the suite of controls to meet its regulatory obligations but drives and implements fixes to issues and gaps identified.
The role will be accountable for:
- Working with other Heads Of to assemble and deliver assurance agendas (rolling monthly schedule of activities)
- Overseeing the delivery of AML transformation initiatives ensuring each are delivered within schedule and scope
- Preparing Board level AML & compliance portfolio reporting (C-Suite level) - showing progress, trends, and insights both from a program and operational perspective
- Acting as a central point of contact for regulatory change with the Legal and External Affairs Functions and triaging those changes through to the relevant Specialists for impact assessment, solution design and implementation
About You
You will have experience in:
- A complex, regulatory and/or professional services environment in a similar position
- Operational understanding of one or more areas of regulatory compliance that the Customer department is accountable for
- Preparing a range of quality insights and reports for Board and Senior Management that not only presents data, but joins the dots, informs, and drives decision making
- Establishing and operationalising various forums which brings stakeholders together to make decisions and monitors the progress of strategic outcomes
- Tracking and overseeing the delivery of various initiatives and diving in to understand process, barriers, risk, and issues
- Presenting to C-Suite, with the right information being surfaced and elevated that builds confidence, consensus and facilitates decision making
- Operating in a super faced paced environment, with several initiatives and deliverables on the go at once!
