About the role

Reporting to the Head of Public Policy & Reputation and as a member of the Corporate Affairs Team, this role will be pivotal in evolving our strategy through bringing to life Sportsbet’s objectives to ‘Do More’ with our community and charitable partners and fulfil our ambitions under the Flutter Group Positive Impact Plan (PIP). The ESG Manager will lead the development of the ‘Do More’ community and charitable strategy that include our relationships and activities with charitable partners and NGOs. The successful candidate will also support the execution of various responsible gambling partnerships (including with academics), often with support of other teams internally.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for creating, leading and implementing the Do More Strategy and its positive outcomes for Sportsbet
  • Work closely with both our external and internal communications to create advocacy for our work to drive employee and external engagement
  • Develop, drive and implement a forward research agenda for Sportsbet, utilising appropriate third parties in the academic and research community, to continue to build Sportsbet’s position at the forefront of the industry in regard to responsible gambling.
  • Champion our responsible gambling reputation across key stakeholder groups externally.

About You

  • Experience in the community or charitable, public policy or corporate affairs space
  • Experience in research or academia, including researching issues, and the preparation of briefs for Executive and external requirements
  • Experience creating and sustaining complex relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including building trust in issues rich environments
  • Engaged with senior levels of Federal and State Government
  • Ability to lead an end-to-end strategy execution including, measurement and review
  • Ability to quickly understand complex legal and regulatory frameworks
  • Strong relationships in government, NGOs, charitable sector – or the ability to develop them
