About The Role
Sportsbet’s Compliance & Process Optimisation Function is centralised capability that accelerates the confidence of the Customer Team in the performance and scalability of our processes and systems (controls) that are relied on to meet our regulatory obligations and continuously drives (implements) efficiencies and scale in our Department as our environment evolves and changes.
This uniquely positioned function not only works through the Department to diagnose and assess the performance of the suite of controls to meet its regulatory obligations but drives and implements fixes to issues and gaps identified.
Sitting across the entire Customer Department, this function supports:
- Customer Operations: The first point of contact for Customers of Sportsbet, through its Contact Centres in Melbourne and Darwin, and Online Chat and supported by Customer Experience, Workforce Management and Payments and Automation Teams;
- Customer Sustainability: Keeping Sportsbet’s Customers safe as they enjoy the products and includes its AML and Safer Gambling Teams and supported by a Technology Delivery Team;
- Premium: Dedicated team of Relationship Managers looking supporting Sportsbet’s most valuable customers through expedited account management support and events Management; and Marketing: Driving customer engagement and retention through marketing and advertising Sportsbet’s brand and products through a range of channels and partnerships and engaging them through on-platform, email and SMS CRM.
Responsibilities Include:
- Proactively identify relevant regulatory obligations, especially ones that impact Marketing and CRM processes.
- Delivering a “line 1” assurance program of work assessing and formulating opinion by means of controls testing over the health and performance of our controls to meet the relevant regulatory compliance requirements (e.g. ACMA, Privacy Act, NTRC, NCPF and Safer Gambling)
- Provide opinion on the overall health and performance of MarTech and CRM controls, including presenting and aligning key stakeholders on change areas that require change and stakeholder accountability/ownership.
- Identifying, designing and implementing business process and system optimisation to ensure the Function is performing at peak today and prepared to accommodate future growth
- Supporting the design and implementation of solutions to meet regulatory changes, internal and external audit findings and compliance incidents.
About You:
- Have worked in agile established, Unicorn or Scale Up businesses in MarTech (Marketing Technology), Fintech or Software Technology industries.
- Strong working knowledge of MarTech and a confident understanding of IT systems and infrastructure.
- Knowledge of MarTech and CRM General Controls principles, MarTech Risk, and best practices for assessing and mitigating technology risks.
- Ability to identify and assess technology-related risks, including marketing operational, business and data privacy risks.
- Ability to interpret Architecture Diagrams and assess the compliance and security of APIs and Data Flows between marketing Apps, Databases and other Cloud Services.
- Ability to interpret obligations and compliance frameworks and methodologies for assessing and achieving compliance.
- Ability to analyse complex technology-related issues, identify solutions, and make informed decisions to mitigate risks as they relate to CRM and MarTech platforms.
- Proficient in maintaining comprehensive records related to compliance efforts, risk assessments, and audit findings and creating documentation that can be easily interpreted by cross functional business areas.
- Ability to project manage, plan and execute compliance initiatives and remediation projects.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various stakeholders, including IT teams, legal teams, auditors, and regulators.
- Technology and compliance landscapes are constantly evolving. Staying updated with industry trends and emerging risks is crucial for success in this role.
