About The Role

Sports Traders at Sportsbet are the people behind the odds that our customers bet on. We utilise several resources to help formulate what we believe are the most accurate odds & then manage those odds throughout their lifecycle.

Sportsbet has an exciting opportunity to join our International Sports Team where you’ll be responsible for managing the odds lifecycle for Soccer, Tennis, Golf, along with a range of other sports.

Reporting to the Soccer Team Lead, you will play a key role managing our live product. You will work as part of a diverse, goal oriented and collaborative team who have a strong focus on operational excellence.

Responsibilities Include:

• Sports Models - Using our Sports models for the day-to-day operations of the code including pre-match and live trading.
• Product Ownership – Great opportunity to help grow and evolve international sports.
• Live Trading – Learn how to live trade multiple soccer and tennis matches concurrently.
• SLAs – Set and report on Global SLAs.
• Reporting – Support Performance updates v KPIs.
• Global Stakeholders – Leverage our global counterparts in Dublin and Cluj to support the codes continued growth and expansion.

The Risk & Trading team in Melbourne adopt a flexible 5 day working week policy based on customer needs to ensure a great work-life balance for our staff. There is a requirement for weekend work.

About you

We’re looking for enthusiastic, collaborative individual with an analytical mindset to assist in the running of our international sports codes:

• Passion for soccer and tennis and sport.
• An understanding of the wagering industry knowledge is highly regarded. Previous experience in risk and trading desirable.
• High attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
• Mathematics background. Strong analytical and numeracy skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay focused under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Due to the scheduling of the sport, you will need to have a flexible roster with weekend work required (shifts falling between 7:30am and 6:30pm).
