About Us

At Sportsbet, we’re united behind our purpose to Bring Excitement to Life for over 2 million customers. We do this by delivering fun, challenging the status quo, and living our values. As part of the global Flutter Group, we’re a major player internationally – but in Melbourne, Sydney and Darwin, we’re a tight‑knit team of 1,300+ teammates (with over half in Tech & Data Science).

We’re proud contributors to the Australian economy through racing and sporting codes, and we work hard to support our customers, communities and people. Our commitment to responsible gambling is genuine and demonstrated through a broad range of tools and initiatives.

In 2023, we were recognised as one of LinkedIn’s Top 25 Companies and one of the Top 10 Workplaces for Women through Work180. We remain committed to making Sportsbet the best place to work.

About the Role

We’re kicking off a transformation of one of our platforms – a multi‑year program to modernise core capabilities and set us up for future scale and innovation.

As a Product Manager (12-month fixed term) within this transformation, you’ll play a critical role in shaping how the platform evolves to meet customer needs, enable commercial outcomes, and unlock operational efficiency. You’ll balance delivery realities with customer impact and commercial upside, working across technical, trading, commercial and compliance teams to solve complex problems at pace.

If you thrive in ambiguity, bring curiosity and energy, and care deeply about customer outcomes, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shape the product strategy & roadmap by partnering with commercial, trading, compliance, and technology teams to understand needs and feed into the platform roadmap
  • Translate business goals into clear product initiatives, milestones, and outcomes – including feature‑parity and operational improvements
  • Drive product discovery, identifying gaps between current and future experiences across customer, operational, and technical journeys
  • Prioritise work using product principles, customer impact, value, risk, and trade‑off assessments
  • Own backlog management – refinement, prioritisation, sequencing, and release planning with engineering
  • Protect future platform integrity by reducing rework and managing product/technical debt
  • Act as the primary product contact across engineering, design, analytics, trading, and commercial teams to align on problem definition, scope, and success measures
  • Define and track success metrics & OKRs to understand product impact
  • Support adoption and rollout in partnership with change, operations, and commercial teams
  • Use data and stakeholder feedback to iterate on solutions and adapt priorities

Key Requirements

  • 2–4+ years in Product Management within digital or tech environments
  • Experience working with agile teams and the full product development lifecycle
  • Strength in breaking down customer problems and spotting product opportunities
  • Comfortable using data to make decisions and simplify complex information
  • Curiosity, adaptability, ownership and a collaborative, inclusive mindset
  • A degree or relevant practical experience
  • Interest in Sports or Racing is a bonus – not essential

Why You’ll Love Working Here

Along with a competitive salary and generous performance-based bonus, here’s some of our other benefits:

  • 25 days annual leave (plus flexible working options)
  • $1050 work-from-home allowance
  • Access to outstanding career development programs, including expert-led internal training and external learning opportunities
  • Onsite concierge services, free meals, social events and access to the Sportsbet Salon
  • Generous parental leave and return-to-work benefits
  • Hack Days: Participate in our hack days, where creativity and collaboration lead to exciting new ideas and projects.
